There was something massively familiar about The Elements when I first heard this tune and I couldn't quite put my finger on it. until I read the press release and realised that these guys have been influencing the Ocean Colour Scene sound for the last four years. There are strong connections in the sounds of the two bands and this isn't a bad thing. 'Holding Out' is a solid tune - mid-tempo and soulful, but Deep Freeze really comes alive as a more upbeat, rocky tune.
Their self-titled album comes out on October 6th and is available on CD and downloadable formats so you can check out their flawless four part harmonies whether you are in the car, the gym or on the bus.
