The Why Not? - Lifetime Calendar

6 out of 10

The Why Not? Have been developing their sound since 2003 and the result is a compromise between rage and melody with contrasting lyrics and vocals which pay homage to their numerous and obvious influences The Ataris, The Get Up Kids, Jimmy Eat World and Funeral For A Friend amongst others.

I think one of the biggest problems TWN will face upon the release of this album on November 10th, is that they are attempted to crack a market already saturated with this particular brand of sentimental rock music. It does little to break the mould and as a result it just kind of blends in.

It is a shame because tracks like "Drama Polaroid" and "Perfect" are cracking examples of the best of this band's output.
