Aside from the pretentious nature of this single's accompanying press release, there's very little that's striking about the track. In fact, there's very little to say at all. Dynamite it really isn't - it's something you'd be more likely to hear in the back room of a pub somewhere in the late 1990s. Whilst I'm sure a handful of Radio 2 listeners might love this record, there really isn't anything that holds any real appeal. The guitar work is basic at best, and the occasionally whiny vocals hold somewhat of an Erasure-like quality - which might be a good thing if this was a 80s synth-pop record, but alas; it's not.
Explosive? The cover sleeve might suggest so, but prepare to be very disappointed.
