What can I say about McFly that I haven't said already on this site (www.dieshellsuit.co.uk/bands_detail.asp?bID=1881)? If you have a read of any of my previous McFly reviews you'll know I have a bit of a soft spot for the band, especially since they release second album "Wonderland", which I maintain is brilliant. Specifically on their 2-part epic track including the instrumental orchestra breakdown, in which they showed why they are kings of pop.

Previous single "One For The Radio" was lifted directly off new album "Radio:ACTIVE" that is getting released as a deluxe edition in late September, but was also given away for free in July through The Mail on Sunday. However although "Lies" is taken from the same album, this is one of three other songs that will be exclusively on the deluxe edition and wasn't included on the previous giveaway copies.

All I can tell you is that "Lies" is McFly at their epic-pop best. This could easily have been on their "Wonderland" album and that's in no way saying they've gone backwards in terms of progress, oh no. The inclusion of some awesome extra musical accompaniments like the brass section is nothing but inspired. The whole track has this funky edge to it, whilst remaining dark in nature and as always ridiculously catchy. If this says anything about the forthcoming album release then I say that it should be their best album to date and any naysayers out there should give them a chance as they are at their peak. Brilliant.
