Ever listened to anything on Dischord? Chunky riffs, off kilter syncopated drums and discordant guitars; you know the kind of thing. Well, All The Way Rider certainly would appear to have - they stem from the same musical tree as the likes of Bluetip, Quicksand and Jawbox, and that's certainly no bad thing. The only problem is, whilst the songs are well written and tightly performed there's nothing really new here that hasn't already been documented by Dischord ten years ago.
The Eagle's Revenge is an accomplished enough piece of music, and deserves to be heard, and if you're a fan of the genre you'll find a lot to enjoy here. A solid album, if not groundbreaking.
