We made it? Yes, you did. But a part of me wishes you hadn't. There are moments of greatness in this tune, but they are heavily clouded by awkward sound effects, a distinct lack of Linkin Park and some ridiculous lyrics. Frankly, I was gutted when throttling towards the chorus, the song failed to launch into 'that' kind of Linkin Park sound - larger than life and stuck in your head for weeks.
Produced by Cool, Dre and Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, 'We Made It' is set for release on Flipmode/Aftermath/Interscope Records on June 23rd and comes from Busta's 8th studio album 'Blessed'.
To be fair, the tune is solid and will make waves on the Radio 1 playlist and will undoubtedly chart high, but I can't help but feel it has just slightly failed to reach its full potential. The b-side though, 'Don't Touch Me' is truly authentic Busta fare, and if that is anything to go by, the album looks set to be awesome.
