8 out of 10

Captive State is a London based band, with an impressive 8 members. They've got some great names involved on their new EP, including producer Nick Franglen (Lemon Jelly) and an endorsement from Brian Eno! 'Mona' is a pleasant, if somewhat repetitive track, with a nice solid beat and some great use of instrumentation. 'China White Doll' is a great tune, a real standout, from a lovely brass section and an attention-grabbing chorus.

'Weatherman' is another example and proof as to why this band sparked interest in Brian Eno! Because I'm one for the soft songs I can really connect with 'Lost', the delicate harmonies and acoustic guitar is the perfect end to a 21-minute EP!

All in all, a good listen that's sure to hit a good spot with a few people!
