I really can’t deicide if this is a genius joke or just plain shit. The Fighting Cocks seem to have a fair bit of support on their side judging by the PR sheet. Sadly any band that reminds me of a mix between Limp Bizkit, Daphne & Celeste and Jive Bunny is an instant write off.

Starting with a sample from "Heat" is a good thing, but the music that follows is so unbelievably gimmicky. A mix of drum machine, simple effects and the occasional guitar (Sure they rip Crazy Horses off) with female vocals and simple chants. Every now and again a male vocal shouts, raps or says something else silly and numerous samples from a huge range of music and film. See there might have been a few good ideas in here but they are drowned by the sheer weight of everything else going on.

But the biggest hurdle I have with the CD is the artwork. When I was 13, I used to love Manga and Anime. Tried for years to copy it and draw my own comics. The artwork looks like what would have happened if I had been let loose at that age.

On one hand it did make me think about Daphne & Celeste for a short while.
