I honestly don't know where to begin. There is 'honestly' nothing nice to say about this album. This is the epitome of a polished turd; a miasma of over produced American-Country-dancey-indie-powerballed-pop-cock-rock. There's no thread, Mike Musick does not have a sound; and I don't mean this in a good way that suggests he pushes the boundaries - quite the opposite in fact. To be 'honest' I don't believe a chord this guy plays or word he says.
It's hard to draw comparisons, but imagine, if you will an album full of Chicane feat. Bryan Adams tracks. In fact that's it, it all sounds like some horrible European producer who has recruited some 'rock' has-been for an exercise in wasting your time. 'Honestly' if it's not the god-awful lyrics and their false sincerity then it's the ABAB rhyming pattern that they're haplessly arranged into. Or better yet there's the rapping on 'America' that'll get you - because seriously there is something on this album for everyone to hate.
Fuckin toss.
