The Coathangers have signed to Suicide Squeeze Records.
Here’s the press release:
"So, The Coathangers, they're from Atlanta, they're unforgettable, and they just signed to Suicide Squeeze Records. "Doing things is what we like to do," states the band's MySpace page: a headline affirmation of the DIY spirit and energy these four girls run with. Run fast and run through. This is a band that books its own tours, wears their own fashion, and makes their own myth. Between upcoming festival appearances at CMJ (2008) and SXSW (2009) they'll continue writing and recording their first long-player of an album for Suicide Squeeze - out in spring, 2009 - a follow-up to their Shake Shake/Dream Boat 7-inch, released by the label earlier this year. This is where everything real begins again; here, the experience of passionately enjoying a band becomes something simple and unadulterated."
