Now, this is what I like. It's been a while since I've heard a band so devoid of gimmicks and so committed to ensuring originality. Ice, Sea, Dead People are, as I understand 'three bored, geeky childmen with skinny girl wrists with a taste for creating angular, intricate punk'. Well, if this is their agenda then they're sticking pretty close to it.

The record benefits from a 'lo-fi' style of production, through this and their somewhat minimalist and frantic sound it would be very easy to make comparisons to the likes of Lovvers and Pulled Apart By Horses; however there's something fundamentally more authentic about Ice, Sea, Dead People - a commitment to the cause almost. There's an air of this band that will remind even the biggest sceptic of modern punk of the likes of Fugazi, The Jesus Lizard and even, at times Black Flag.

Incredibly urgent, compelling and fierce. Pure boss.
