An Early Cascade - Your Hammer To My Enemy

Stuttgart and Germany in general produces some of the best metallic hardcore this side of the globe. An Early Cascade is another addition to that already overflowing list. Modern hardcore is somewhat of a grey area for most people as to what does and does not fall within it's genre walls and Your Hammer To My Enemy falls smack bang on the fence.

It's metallic, furious and quite technically discordant in places. There are smatterings of cleanly sung vocals and off beat riffs and Maik Czymara's vocals truly sound as if he is swallowing razorblades when he unleashes the beast within and screams his lungs out. This record reminds me of the earlier Architects material crossed in with some of that Germanic hardcore we all know and love dearly. Norma Jean and The Chariot fans will love this; I however grew bored of it quite quickly.
