How time flies! Simply Red have been around for 25 years! I remember when their first album was released, now I'm feeling old!

This collection is the latest greatest hits from one of the most successful UK bands, spanning such a fantastic career.

Simply Red has always delivered excellent new versions of lost and forgotten songs bringing them to the forefront. Mick Hucknall the main man behind the band and the only songwriter, has produced some of the most beautiful and uplifting soul songs that I have ever heard.

This collection of songs includes early released songs such as 'Money's To Tight To Mention' & 'Holding Back The Years', songs from their biggest album 'Stars' including the title track and the fantastic 'Something's Got Me Started', the extremely beautiful 'For Your Babies' to their one and only number one single 'Fairground'. All four singles from one of their most recent albums 'Home', which brought a new younger generation to tune into the band.

As good as their songs are, Simply Red is also renowned for being a tight live band, and to coincide with this collection and that 2009 is the last year of Simply Red, they are off on a world tour. They arrive back on these shores in March and April for a jaunt around the country.

I would definitely recommend this greatest hits package, but I would also recommend checking out Simply Red live if you can, you won't be disappointed. Unfortunately, I will be, as the tickets for my nearest venue sold out whilst I was away - gutted! In the meantime, enjoy this great collection.
