’From The Muddy Banks Of Melitzer’ is a 10 track acoustic album recorded whilst sitting on a chest of drawers, in a bedroom, above a motorbike shop in East London one Wednesday afternoon. Not quite the glamorous high-tech studio you might expect, but that’s the beauty of this project. There’s no expectations, there’s no pressure, just lovely little songs and a happy-go-lucky spirit. Take it or leave it, basically. The album will be released on 15th December on limited edition CD and iTunes.
Look out for the second Shoes And Socks Off album, due out in early 2009. This one, ’Hand-Reared Suburban Piglet’, will feature the same 10 tracks but re-recorded with an array of friends adding extra instrumentation, electronics and ideas to give everything a completely new life.
