Manifesto is a collection of varying artists that all produce absolutely stunning music. This compilation is the soundtrack to the early hours of Saturday mornings just before your hangover starts to kick in. Mrsvee is one small part of the growing trend of net labels, picking releases based solely on their artistic merit and not whether they will be successful or not.
Manifesto is free to download under a creative commons license in a similar way to the last couple of Nine Inch Nails records were made available. This means the music is free to distribute amongst your friends and with this little showcase gem, you would be silly not to. Tracks ranging from sublime acoustic meanderings, to full on Bossk like droning assaults on the senses and all are lovingly and carefully selected and flow perfectly from one track to the next. This is what a mixtape from a member of Godspeed! You Black Emperor might sound like. Superb and captivating in every way imaginable.
Mrsvee are certainly going to be a label to keep your eye on this year as they roll out releases from many of the bands featured on this compilation. Keep your ears to the underground.
