From the outset Northern Irish band 'The Answer' had me confused, there was something different about them, whilst at the same time something very familiar. And I think what it was, was their unswerving classic rock style, without wanting to sound derogatory there is no modern influence in it. It's like they were brought up on a diet of AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Bon Jovi, etc and then never listened to anything else or if they did, they didn't let it influence them.
The production values of their music though are by no means old fashioned, in fact the tracks are extremely well produced and have a pounding quality, that played loud enough would have you rocking out wherever you are. The lyrics are very classic rock about women, women and yes you guessed it more women. But this only seems to have done them good such as praise from Jimmy Page, winning awards like Classic Rock's best new band of 2006 and a US tour with AC/DC.
