Rosematter have called it quits. Here’s the MySpace blog about the break-up:

"Although the title of the post pretty much sums it up, here it goes:

Rosematter is officially calling it quits. I’d say we’ve had a pretty good run, releasing 2 demos and 3 albums in the 4 years we’ve been a band. We’ve had our ups and our downs, but in the end I think all of us have truly enjoyed the ride and the experience.

I thought long and hard about what we were going to say in our final post, and then I realized that nothing more really needs to be said. Does this mean that we’re done playing music? Not at all. Keep your eyes on our myspace, as we’ll announce members plans very shortly. I think most if not all of us will be doing music in some fashion in the very near future.

There are a ton of people we’d like to thank, but I really think it would be unfair to single people out online lest we forget someone in all of our ramblings. I think it’s safe to say that those people know who they are though, and how special they made this band feel. We’re going to sit and really try to compile a complete thank you list though, and post that when we’re sure we’ve given credit to everyone and anyone who has helped us out over the years. We’ll post it the day of our final show, as it should be ready by then.

We will be playing one final show, in our hometown of York on Feb 6th @ Amp Avenue. It’s going to be a special night, and we’d love it if all of our friends from over the years, old and new alike, could make it out for the show. Just send us a message or call us and we can accomodate whoever wants to come out to the show.

Seriously though, thanks to everyone who came out to one of our shows, bought our cd, gave us a place to sleep on tour, and just made the experience easily the best one of our lives.
