Cain’s Dinasty - Legacy Of Blood

Cover art of this quality comes along not often enough for my liking. What’s better than a fighting-fantasy esque painting of three semi-nude, sexy goths kissing and caressing each other? Add some blood and the vague hint they are vampires and it's a winner in my book. In fact, this album really reminds me off when I was a kid and going to the video shop. You would see all the 18 rated videos on the top shelf with garish, exciting looking artwork. As I got older and started watching them you realise that the artwork is the best thing about what is usually a shit film.

Well it's sort of like that with Cain’ Dinasty. Not that the power metal waving Spaniards are bad. They are proficient musicians and can play and write some driving, melodic Helloween/Gamma Ray power cheese. It's just after seeing that cover, the music is never going to live up to such high expectations.

Next time, some less eye-catching art and it might be a winner.
