Bap Kennedy - Howl On

3 out of 10

If you're a Bob Dylan fan and you're struggling with your love for the wrinkly king versus the fact that his voice is, frankly, shot to hell, then you need this album. You can play it and pretend the floury Bap tones are Saint Zimmerman when he was younger. When you were younger. When everything was younger. Brighter. Happier. Before terrorists, swine flu and Britain's Got Talent. Go on, delude yourself. You know you want to. You might even be able to forgive him the truly abysmal cover of Hey Joe. . .but maybe not. Nobody's that deluded. Are they?
