There's no time for looking down at your feet as Morning Light collides with the senses, aptly hitting the mind like the might of the sun's glare when dawn turns to day. Distortion, layers and swarming melodies- this offering from LA based trio Gliss, echoes all around. Simple in structure, there's an overcomplicated sound courtesy of the heavy multi-layering. Though it's hard to ignore the shimmers of My Bloody Valentine in Gliss' sound it's clear there's more going on than a homage to shoegaze.
Singer, Victoria's vocals float through the song like a shroud of fog holding the melodies in. A song to wake up to but also a reason to stay in bed.and listen.
