Attack! Attack! - Attack! Attack!

8 out of 10

Taking their influences from 90s grunge, punk, pop-rock and new-wave, Attack Attack power a sound that guitarist Ryan Day, describes as "no frills or bullshit," and "just honest, melodic and rocking" and I can't help but agree. This album defines the sound of the summer for me and harbours memories of long drives, beach parties and beer-fuelled frolics. Not to say of course, that the writing isn't intelligent, it is - stuffed to the brim with catchy hooks, memorable melodies and sincere lyrics. In short, it's great.

The band has got a massive tour lined up for the autumn - which stands as a testament to their popularity and musical competence - you'd be a fool to miss out.
