Smith 6079 - Ghosts (Single)

This is a band who have been called meatier than Kasabian, well if a band has to compensate lyrics by just singing La La La at least 80 times in the track (I got bored with counting after 80ish!) they are certainly not meatier than such a big band.

The song flows nicely along and the guitars fit in really well with the vocals. I can't see this song helping Smith 6079 being picked up by any record labels. Last years previous single 'Kill Romeo' should have opened up more doors for this Manchester band.

I would advise anyone listening to this single to not let it deter them from checking out their MySpace page for more songs, one being a track called 'Bombs' which reminds me of the first Rage Against the Machine LP. With the newly reformed RATM recently headlining festivals all over the world, this shows that there is still a demand for this type of sound, so Smith 6079 should carry on down that route, not by singing La La La a hundred times or so.
