Language - Macadamia (Single)

Language made their money to start out by writing music for the gay porn industry, well someone has got to; all porn films need some kind of seedy tunes in the background! Well it's good to know that this London 3 piece saved all their good tunes for themselves and are releasing them this way instead of giving them to some bucking bronco's.

Powerful guitar riffs, heavy bass line and pounding drums are the path to a near perfect tune. So that means, Language are already there with this their debut single.

The first track 'Macadamia' has everything mentioned above, along with help from some electronic programming and to top it off has a great accompanying video with fantastic dancing in it. The attractive vocals fit in so well with the tune and left me wanting more, not just wanting to listen to this track again and again but also wanting to source out more from this new band.

To quote the second song on this Double A side single 'We Are Here', 'I could be the worst, I could be the best' I can tell you that they are the best. As a reviewer of singles and albums, there aren't many bands that I want to hear more from. I am so happy to say that I will be keeping an ear out for more with this band. I bet they are a great live act and will be sourcing out a gig date when they visit the north hopefully sometime soon.

I don't normally do this, but I am going to stick my neck out here - Language are one of my tips heading out for bigger things in 2009.

Check out their MySpace page for more info.

Well done guys, 'everything makes sense' now you're here.
