Geriatric Unit - Distance & Damage

Don't be fooled by the name. This band might have a collective age of 553 million years, but there's something at the core of this one that other bands will never possess. That thing is the fact there are members of Heresy, Hard To Swallow and Iron Monkey within their ranks. There is a hardcore pedigree here that is unquestionable and it really does show. Distance & Damage is twelve short lessons in how to rip someone's face off and have them sing along at the same time. It's everything that got left behind in the late eighties and early nineties and it's in no way a hipster nod to times gone by. That said, there is only so much you can do with the eighties sound that hasn't been done a million times before, if not slightly better by bands like 86 Mentality and Black SS. There are most definitely a few years left before these guys hit the retirement home.
