Valient Thorr - Immortalizer

The fact that Valient Thorr are label mates with Birds Of Avalon (A previous band I have reviewed) comes as no surprise. As one of major part of their music that they share is their indulgence in seventies infused duelling guitars. However that is where most of the comparisons end as Valient Thorr are rock monsters who like to ramp it up with intense riffs and roaring vocals.

The best way to describe the music on Immortalizer is to quote the title of the fifth track which is No Holds Barred and that is exactly what this album is all about from start to finish. To some it may become a little on the samey side after a while but with songs like Tomorrow Police and 1000 Winters in a Row how could you possibly get bored?
