The Treat - Phonography

Despite a series of glowing reviews, it is glaringly apparent to me that this particular offering by The Treat is most definitely not a treat. In fact, looking slightly beyond the band's highly pretentious name, and onto the ridiculously cheesy "Union Jack made out of Les Pauls and microphones" CD cover, you are invited to sample a number of entirely uninteresting slabs of bore-rock. The musicians are competent but uninspiring and the vocals were, frankly, unexpected - and not in a good way.

Phonography by The Treat is a little like one of those non-authentic Swiss Army knives unrelated aunts tend to buy you for Christmas - it may contain a lot of tools, but they are all a little inferior and none of them get the job done.
