Slowly but surely ticking each and every box on the metal band cliché list, Avian could start with a name that conjures up more than just images of bird flu. Citing influences such as Gamma Ray, Edguy and Blind Guardian, Avian sound like they are trying hard to achieve an Iron Maiden kind of sound.
Of course, don't get me wrong - these guys can clearly rock - but stealing lyrical cheesiness and melodies from the mid-eighties is not helping their cause at all. Essentially this has all been done before. That said, if you are seeking an epic, symphonic power metal kind of sound, Avian could be exactly what you are looking for.
To be played as loud as possible in tight leather trousers and one of band-patch covered denim jackets with no sleeves.
