Not the most inventive of titles for a song, La La La is a phrase usually trotted out when people forget their words, thus it is both easy to remember and easy to forget.
While the chorus sheds some light on Ava Leigh's decision in naming this track, it provides no clues as to how a young northern British lass like Ava can channel a reggae pop style so sincerely, producing a sound that takes root far before her time and far away in a different continent for that matter.
Furthermore, this offering dredges up names that have been long forgotten from the early 90s, particularly those European rap-pop-reggae maestros Ace of Base, but again they too are before Ava's time. Then there's the occasional glimpse of an eager Joss Stone amid her early releases that this songstress also evokes. But before too long all characteristics melt into one, as the song's repetitive loops take hold with such strength they render the early charms of this track to monotonous ones. La, La, La, easily memorable, yet easily forgettable.
