With 'Another Day' you can just sense that the English summer is on its way, at least in the music industries eyes. While it is shamelessly meant to be played with open windows and in a sun kissed glow, it's hard to criticise the light and breezy Motown effort from Lidell. Relaxed and kept in time by handclaps, it's a little Marvin Gaye, but since when is that a bad thing? Radio 2 at its best really and with just enough commercial appeal to take on those hard critics at Radio 1, Lidell certainly can find approvers with this track. He does however remain one of Warp's stranger signings, purely for being commercial viable. Listen: www.myspace.com/jamielidell
