Signing to Epitaph for the release of their third album 'The Black Swan' after four years on Maverick shows that they're ready to make the step up into to punk rock's premier league, even if Maverick, the label co-founded by Madonna, is a bigger label. The St. Louis five piece sound like they're ready to climb up the main stage line-ups at this summer's festivals and follow tour buddies like My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park into the arenas, too. Whatever you make of singer Dan Marsala's comments about 'Wake Up' ("When you think about just how small the Earth really is and just how small the human race really is, our existence is almost insignificant in the greater scheme of things"), they sound like a band who want to be significant and while Marasla might think the human race is small, his band are making a big racket. Everything from the bass drum up has been beefed up so that 'Wake Up' and Story Of The Year are a punk rock powerhouse. Listen: www.myspace.com/storyoftheyear
