Captain Wilberforce - Everyone Loves A Villain

6 out of 10

Through the duration of this album I almost ran the whole gamut of emotional responses. My initial reaction was one of hatred, but as I persevered through the tracks Captain Wilberforce's jangly Beach Boys influenced indie pop grew on me right up until the point where. I don't mind it. It's not great, it's not really my kind of thing, but it's got a certain loveable urchin charm and some nice harmonies. There are worse summer pop albums out there.
