All For Nothing - Solitary

It's a funny old thing, is hardcore. Many things to many people, and it's often the case that fans of one niche subgenre can't stand bands from another niche subgenre that sounds almost exactly the same. I have to admit to being a bit guilty of this, and as such I find myself a little bit disappointed by All For Nothing. There's promise there - there's energy and passion, but it's all lost somewhere along the way. The music is generic to the point of being faceless, differentiated only by the female vocals, the lyrics are simplistic and the production weak - it could have been lifted with a really meaty sound, but as it is the riffs and ensuing beatdowns just sound thin and a bit lifeless.

With a bit more originality and power All For Nothing could be worth more investigation, but as it stands I can't really recommend it.
