Austrian political punks Rentokill bring us ’Antichorus’, spitting on society with their melody driven shouty punk rock, think The Unseen verses Rise Against. A quality sound, with some great guitar work, listen to ’Collection Complete’ or ’Portrait of Conformity’, this along with Jack’s gritty vocals makes for an album worth checking out, these are ones to watch out for on the tour scene. This is a band that isn’t afraid to mix it up and change what’s in the box, this is evident with ’War In The Shadows’, as they set out on a scream-fest metal shouty number, followed by ’Primetime Killers’ which is probably a single in the making with it’s catchy chorus and slightly ska infused melody. Half way through the album ’Abandoning Democracy’ steps back with a spoken word on Democracy and then again later with ’Abandoning The Natural Habitats’, it’s an unsual step mid album. The album is topped off with ’Para Fin[E]’ (geddit?) a gritty tune with meaty guitars and loads of attitude. So, If you hate the government, if you hate society and you love punk rock, then you can’t go wrong with this album.
