Unknown to most but cherished by the remainder, Twin Atlantic are Glasgow’s latest band to give it their best. Recently signed to Red Bull Records, the Scottish quartet are set to release their debut full length ’Vivarium’, September 14th.

No stranger to the UK circuit they have toured extensively over the past two years and I’ve been lucky enough to see them perform on a handful of occasions supporting the likes of Circa Survive, The Matches, Say Anything and Independant Festivals. They’re live show is sensational and leaves most with dehydrated eyes in fear of blinking and missing the pure energy they put out.

The latest single, "Your Turning Into John Wayne" is the follow up to the epic "Lightspeed".
Having listened to their EP countless times and loving the last single there was a lot to live up to with the follow up and at first it failed. I was left disappointed with its disjointed structure and transfer from verse to what is a signature chorus and bridge from the band. I am glad to say that this track is definitely a grower and it's a "creative" approach at progressing their sound. The underlying message of the song is putting focus on bands/culture that mimics "the American way".

If you're looking for a breath of fresh air give them a chance and definitely catch them live if possible. For fans of The Xcerts and Biffy Clyro.
