How do you update your love of SOIA and old Fat Wreck punk with that trendy old school/new school hardcore attitude that is so common these days? Well in the case of Rat Attack, you do what they sound like on this release. Pretty honest, simple and slightly derivative at times.
They have the skill and a good resume, they can certainly play there instruments well enough and sling together cohesive songs but the main problem is the fact that it sounds very much like we have heard it all before. Gallows, The Ghost Of A Thousand and even second rate dross like Lower Than Atlantis are bouncing down this path at the moment. Rat Attack are good enough to join the herd but need something else to stand out.
