"Sorry it took so long"

The first faintly heard words at the start of the CD - which point to the near 3 year gap between albums. But the wait for the third album by Minneapolis’s finest is (mostly) worth it.

Taking a slightly different path to most rappers - starting off in punk bands whilst moving to hip hop as an alternative way of getting his point across; P.O.S wears his influences and beliefs on his sleeve. Dark punk laced beats permeated by clever lyrics referencing old school wrestling, Fugazi (and apparently a Saved by the Bell reference) race past. Guest appearances from Jason Shevchuk (Kid Dynamite,None more Black) and Judah Nagler (Velvet Teen) help to distinguish this from the a-typical hip hop album.

This is a step back to when hip-hop was creative - before the false bravado and one-upmanship entered the scene. This is a breath of fresh air for a tired genre.

P.O.S is no 50 Cent. For that we should be thankful.
