People In Planes - Mayday (M'aidez)

People In Planes aspire to create atmospheric, awe inspiring rock music, with epic, soaring chorus. They certainly have anthemic leanings. Unfortunately for them, they mainly have leanings towards turgid, uninspiring rock music. On the basis of these three tracks, People In Planes are a needless exercise, very much a sub-par Muse. 'Falling By The Wayside' is the token quiet song, and sounds like a shitty cross between Pearl Jam and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. They could do with 'Falling By The Wayside' (LOLZ!). 'Mayday (M'aidez)" sees the band experiment with drum machines and keyboards, resulting in something not a million miles away from The Rasmus. Here's fact for you: People In Planes used to be called Tetra Splendor. They were shit then and they're shit now. Avoid.
