Here’s a full update from Not Advised about a new mini-album and other things:

"First things first: we haven’t dropped off the face of the earth! We’ve been extremely quiet recently hard at work on the NA machine and now it’s time to spill the beans on what’s going on.

So we recorded our first proper CD earlier this year, the writing and recording process was huge for us and we’re so proud of the end result. Once the CD was finished we had to set about finding the best way to release it and we’re pretty sure we’ve done just that. Not Advised has always been us 5 doing things for ourselves, we’re proud of our independence and have always done things how we wanted. This really left us with one option for releasing the CD...

We’re proud to announce that our debut mini album "Fight For This" will be released on August 10th through "...is a Rockstar Records".

...is a Rockstar Records is an independant record label which we’ve set up ourselves. The CD will have full physical and digital distribution which means you’ll be able to pick up a copy anywhere from your local HMV to itunes. This way we have total control over the CD, and we feel this is the best way forward for our band and this CD.

This past month of silence is a thing of the past, we’ll be updating regularly from now on with videos, blogs, tweets, audioboos (that’s going to be awesome) and live webcam broadcasts. We’re going to be more in touch with you guys than ever before.

You’ll notice we’ve got a tasty new myspace layout up to co incide with this epic quest, props to Alex at Destroy Designs for his artistic touch and scary amount of html knowledge! You’ll also notice 6 twitter boxes on our page, one for each of us and one for the whole band. We’ll be "tweeting" all the time with what we’re up to, whether it be writing a song or eating a kebab! It’s going to be the fastest way to keep up to date with what’s going on so get involved, follow us on twitter! As a basic rule of thumb we’ll blog once a week with a big round up of any news and we’ll tweet multiple times a day with both important news and random ramblings!

Loads of you have been asking when you can hear new material from the CD, we can tell you we’ll be posting new music up soon, probably in about a weeks time, but to get you all stuck into twitter we’re going to let you know via tweets when it’s going up, so if you want to be the first to know, you know what to do!

To any Londoners out there get down to the Islington Academy 2 on wednesday (20th) as we’re supporting our Welsh amigo’s Attack! Attack! We’ve got the last few tickets for the show so get in touch if you want any reserved as the show is almost sold out. This one’s not to be missed!

We always seem to end blogs by thanking people for things and this little number is no exception! We owe you all a HUGE THANKYOU for your support in the recent slam dunk contest, and although we didn’t win we came pretty damn close and it’s all down to you guys and that means the world to us. We also want to say thanks for you being patient with this CD, we’ve literally been waiting years for this and it’s finally all coming together, so thanks to those of you who’ve been with us since the beginning.

I think that’s enough words for one blog, it’s 11:48 and if I go on much longer i’m going to have to change the title to May 19th and that’s a hassle I really don’t want right now! Plus i’ve got seriously involved in Lost recently and want to get a couple of episodes under my belt before sleep!

We’re seriously excited about the next few months
