What a grim picture London's Deep Cut paint with this debut album as they get straight to the point with Time To Kill and Thought Crimes.
Guitarist Matt Flint's connections to Death In Vegas and 90s outfit Revolver, means the music pulling power is unsurprising. As the luscious layers of shoegaze in Deep Cut's guitars and melodies draw you into a dream state, singer Emma Bailey's vocals blur with the music as it swims all around you until you wake up with the variation of album highlight and defining track, Just Chasing.
Deep Cut? Or perhaps soft as moss, and sadly unable to penetrate the memory for any real length of time.
