Freshman 15 have posted a cover of M.I.A.’s "Paper Planes" on their MySpace page. When asked about it, singer/guitarist Davey Fortner commented, "We covered it because it’s a great song, she did a fantastic job with it and we wanted to do our own take on the song. We went to a studio in Atlanta and it came out great, we played around with some electronic beats, vocal effects and just had fun with it."
The band have added a new member to the fold with the addition of David Hoogerwerf on bass (formerly of Red Car Wire). They were also picked up by TQ Management (Forever the Sickest Kids).
