Buckcherry - 15 / Black Butterfly

This lot make Def Leppard and Velvet Revolver sound sophisticated. Straight-ahead, no-brain, compressed-to-buggery rock. The Deep Purple cover is tribute-band quality. Indeed, that's the best that can be said about the whole package - Buckcherry are an average band with above-average ambitions and advances. It's value for money (if you like this sort of thing) obviously, but with live tracks shorn of any audience noise (if, indeed, there even was an audience) and each studio track bludgeoning your ears like so many rubbery bricks, for non-fans it's probably just too much.
