Data.Select.Party are splitting up, a statement on their MySpace reads as follows:
"Hello Everybody,
I am sorry to inform you all that after a short stint of dates later in the year DSP will be no more. A shift in priorities of various members has meant that we won't be able to commit ourselves fully and feel this would be doing the band, the team around us and most importantly you all a disservice.
We would like to say a huge thanks to all the people that have helped us along the way, anybody that has come see us play and all the bands we've partied hard with. For working hard on the band with us we would like to thank Al and Peter, Mark Ngui, Matt Hughes, Steph Seager, Nick Harnett and Dirty Alex. Special thanks to Judge, Steve and Cheska for helping us lug our shit around day after day, sharing sleeping bags and generally putting up with us on tour without the utterance of a single complaint. There's almost certainly loads of people we've overlooked, if so we're sorry and we love you.
Some of us have a new project in the pipeline that we're very excited about so watch this space for more on that very soon.
In the meantime, here are a couple of brand new DSP tracks to get you in the mood for the upcoming shows, you can also download them for free at drop.io!
Thanks again to you all, its been an amazing few years that we will cherish for the rest of our lives."
