Ten Bears’ debut single is a perfectly formed little pop song. Sounding very much like MGMT and They Might Be Giants, the band are riding the current synth guitar wave. But they haven’t just thrown out a track to fit the current popular style; there are some insightful lyrics here, seemingly about the state of the youth of the nation.
There is much room for improvement as, the track is slightly repetitive and I look forward to hearing how Ten Bears evolve to make a more individual style for themselves. But for now, they’ve released a song of epic singalongability proportions, which will hopefully propel them to be able to produce more in the future.
