A child-like tune (all chorus, really, as these things tend to be), this debut is presumably heading straight for a musical starring some recently of-age Disney brat. Anodyne lyrics don't help; 'life is a maze, love is a riddle', 'I'm just a little girl lost in the moment', the sun is a 'giant spotlight'. . . good grief, Cat Power save us. And there's a dum-de-dum ending. Of course there is. Still, My Little Pony made millions for someone.
If you like the idea of Lily Allen but are turned off by her swearing or general lack of pink-ness, if you like the idea of Bjork but think that she's 'a bit foreign and weird', and if you've never heard of Joanna Newsom or the Cardigans, then dribble over to iTunes forthwith and download something by Lenka. Your remaining brain cell will love you for it.
