A mildly diverting bag of nuggets. Not sure I'd shell out any hard-earned on it, though. It's Evan Dando having a louche laugh with a few friends; Gibby Haynes, pausing from his butthole surfing to twiddle the knobs (stop sniggering at the back), the Only Ones' John Perry axe-ing it up good and proper (Thin Lizzy would be proud of his work on Beautiful, for example), Kate Moss and Liv Tyler at the karaoke. You can picture the scene. Kate's no Martina Topley-Bird and Liv's no Jane Birkin, sadly, but props to them for doing something a bit different, taking the time out of their busy schedule of wearing expensive clothes and being photographed by shouting, sweaty Cockneys.
As time takes him, Dando appears to be morphing into an unnerving combination of Nick Cave and Iggy Pop; Layin' Up With Linda, Mexico and others have him growling away uncannily like Cave, for instance. The Gram Parsons, July and Linda Perry numbers stand out but not enough to make this anything more than professionally cool giggle.
