Jookabox - Dead Zone Boys

8 out of 10

Positioning themselves as underworld survivors (well, that's what their PR says, anyway), Indianapolis' Jookabox certainly sound the part. Imagine a party held in a cavernous, abandoned sewer, probably beneath a derelict industrial district populated only by the screams of the unemployed, drug-addicted and dead. You're all invited. The all-important vibey tuneage will be provided by the Beach Boys, Cheap Trick, Lichens and the Flaming Lips, who have joined forces to create a broken, neon mind-fuck for everyone to enjoy. Just don't drink the punch.
