This band audibly bound along in the wake of Weezer, Ben Folds, et al. But yelpier. There's a bit of Bloc Party in the mix, too and, as you might expect when someone mentions the 'Party, the band's PR do indeed use the word 'angular' to describe their guitar sound. As they're American, you might expect that to change to 'Anglia' in the near future.
It's hard to find fault with such a stream of happiness but I'll try - the college-boy vocals are average and the songs aren't anything earth-shattering, either. Mushrooms is the band at their best, I feel, but the rest is the sound of a stall being set up. They now need to create something worth selling.
