What I can gather from this three-track demo is that Trial Of Fifty does the whole angular, off tempo post-hardcore thing pretty well. Musically they have all the right ideas, from the discords to the off kilter rhythms Now all they need to do tell their vocalist to shift things up a few gears and they'd be a truly jaw dropping proposition for the UK hardcore scene. The fact they had a powerhouse in the form of Ben Phillips of City Of DJs studios record their demo definitely gives them a helping hand where so many others have already fallen flat. Keep your eyes and ears open, I have a feeling these guys will blow up soon enough.
