Buy this just for the Tellison song, please. Everyone needs to invest in Tellison as they are a real shining gem in the British music scene. I've been fortunate enough to catch them three times live and they've been utterly engaging and rewarding every time. Their debut album "Contact! Contact!" made a lot of people's albums of 2007 list, and rightly so. Playing music that roughly fits into the indie-pop genre the band just seems to only write brilliant songs.

This limited edition split 7" with fellow up and comers Tubelord coincided with a recent joint tour of the UK from July 21st - 9th August and has "Wasp's Nest" by Tellison and "Night Of The Pencils" by Tubelord.

Tellison's new offering (The song isn't on their album, it's brand new) comes in at exactly 3 minutes long and further showcases why they are such a genuinely exciting prospect. The "ba da ba ba da, ba da ba ba da" sing-along harmonised vocal moments are moments of pure unadulterated joy. Lead singer Stephen H Davidson has a unique, warm and affable quality to his vocals that mixed together with chirpy guitars and romping drums blend together to make "Wasp's Nest" a real reason to own this 7" and to then further invest in their album. Do it now.

Tubelord give the release their track "Night Of The Pencils" from their BSM Records released "Feed Me A Box Of Words" single which helped garner the band a whole host of fans, including our very own Stephen Eddie who gave the release a stonking 8/10. With a more math-rock approach to their music they still offer a nice chorus in this track and show a delicate side to themselves amongst the carnage!

These are two of Britain's finest young talents, and a highly recommend you invest in this split 7".
