Back to show Winehouse et.al. how it's done, the erstwhile Baroness Sacher-Masoch delivers with a measure of sharpened cabaret. Sounding like Josie Lawrence singing a Morrissey cover, la Faithfull smokes her way through a disjointed tale of love and indulgence (yes, another one), the product of five writers who may very well have contributed a verse each before stitching it all up with vintage thread and screeching, Gallon Drunk-style coda. Not nearly as masochistic as it sounds. Jools Holland on standby, though.
